From the Executive Director

We deeply appreciate your interest in sixteen32 and what we are trying to achieve to build disciple making movements (DMMs) worldwide.

One of the greatest needs around Kingdom movement is economic sustainability. Many of those who are seeing the greatest move of God on the ground, in terms of church-planting multiplication, are also facing the severest tests, materially as well as spiritually.

If you would like to discuss lending to the Global Fund through the sixteen32 Multiplier Bond, or giving to the individual projects being developed through a regional sixteen32 hub, please get in touch.

Our team is totally committed to seeing the expansion of the Gospel worldwide, to seeing God “turn the world upside down” as in the book of Acts, and to making sure that God’s proven church-planting multipliers have a stable and self-sufficient stream of funding to sustain their work, just as Paul had his tentmaking. By helping church planters become tentmakers in their own way, you will be using your blessings to further the Great Commission and unleash the Kingdom of God.

We look forward to connecting with you soon, in God’s spirit of multiplication.

Sincerely,

Michael Butler Signature

What We Do

We partner with church-planting missions with a proven track record of scaling movements – some for over three decades. We are committed to empowering leaders to become self-sufficient so they can continue discipling emerging leaders who plant churches.

Worldwide, this church-planting multiplication has led to millions of new believers being actively involved in new local churches.

What We Don't

We are not an investment bank, a job creation project, a social development agency or a welfare scheme. We are investment managers and our focus is unashamedly on advancing Kingdom Movements, especially in urban environments and cities. Our success is measured by how these can be sustained independently, ending their dependency on outside finance.

Loan or Give?

If you Loan

We have a loan option for those who would like to invest in disciple-makers but can’t make a donation at this time. sixteen32 provides you with a Multiplier bond for an agreed term. Your investment will be managed conservatively by our fund managers in Texas. You will not earn interest, but you will make an enduring investment in growing Christ’s Kingdom. The Loan option provides a way for you to safely support disciple makers while preserving and returning your wealth to you. We ask that you agree to a 3+ year loan term.

01

If you Give

Donations can be made to sixteen32, a US based non-profit. Typically, donations given to us are directly invested in regional hubs in Southern Africa and Asia into projects such as real estate, farms, Boxer stores, or the Asian City school project (along with many others). Regional investments better serve the fund’s mission, and since the capital will not be returned to the US, it is advantageous to invest them immediately in opportunities in our hub regions. Our in country networks provide us with exclusive premium investment opportunities.

Structure: The hub-fund relationship

How it works

This is how your capital will work for the Kingdom of God through sixteen32.

Supporters like you invest in the sixteen32 Global Fund, through interest-free loans or donations. The Global Fund is managed in Texas and has an overarching board, and an overarching investment advisory board as well.

Hubs are overseen by an independent board, that always comprises at least one Global Fund Director as well as local, credentialled and respected leaders, with both disciple making and commercial experience.

Initial hubs are in Africa and Asia, with more planned in South America, and Europe – where, for instance, Syrian refugees in Hamburg are responding to the Gospel.
Hubs run parallel to the loan-based work of the sixteen32 Global Fund and accept direct donations that will provide income streams for the local Persons of Peace who are so essential to church-planting acceleration. See Sibu’s Story.

Michael Butler

Board, Executive Director

Some years before he became sixteen32’s co-founder and Executive Director, Michael Butler developed a passion for seeing God movements happen around the world. Seemingly by chance, Michael encountered a man named Brad, who took him through a Life Plan. The scene was set for a transition.

“Since then,” Michael says, “it seems as if God has brought every single life experience to play, to try and solve the problem of donor dependency in global church-planting missions. How can we build sustainability where movement is happening – and so remove donor dependency? Just a small problem to solve.”

Michael’s life has been complex – living on three continents before the age of 10 – with a strong commercial background worldwide. Beginning as a London market trader, he has run numerous businesses and still runs a private managed fun that delivers high returns.

Against this backdrop, Michael has co-founded sixteen32 as a charitable investment fund that uses its entire resource to build sustainability where God is establishing movement.

Michael firmly believes that this is where God wants him to be, so he has left his group of companies, in order to focus on this work for the rest of his life.

Harry Brown

Advisor Mission

Harry is President of New Generations. Since 2005 and in 59 countries, Cityteam International/New Generations has catalyzed the planting of over 100,000 churches; over 2 million new disciples; and more than 180 Disciple Making Movements – using the definition that a Movement represents at least 100 new churches with at least four generations of replication.

Harry joined Cityteam in 1974, working in multiple aspects of the ministry, including living in a ghetto community for five years, providing in-depth relationship, evangelism and discipleship to at-risk urban youth. From 1984 he spent twelve years as Cityteam’s Vice President of Administration.

Harry was asked to launch a new division called Cityteam International, focused on global disciple-making, church planting, and training leaders, indigenous organizations and western mission organizations to launch and sustain disciple-making movements. In 2018 that division became a separate non-profit organisation under its own name: New Generations.
